Well, I guess you can’t really call my job a “grind” in any way, shape or form.  I get to hang out with kids all day and babble with them in Spanish, which is a pretty sweet deal — to my mind, at least.  Today was an odd day because one of our preschool teachers was out sick, so every moment that I wasn’t teaching Spanish, I was subbing in that classroom.  I don’t get to spend much time with four-year-olds any more, so today was actually a treat.  It was nice to have kids sitting on my lap and holding my hand, since mine think they are too big for that these days!

Also, I got to wear a giant sombrero as part of a presentation on the Mexican Rodeo.  Teaching in a sombrero:  FUN.

Also FUN:  catching up with my co-workers after break.

FUN from last night:  trying to figure out how to do the yoga routine on the Wii Fit.  I am still not sure if the Wii Fit is a brilliant and helpful invention, or perhaps a tool of the devil.  The Wii approved of my Warrior pose and Sun Salutations, but mocked me when I tried to play the game where you hit virtual soccer balls with your head.  This only confirms my suspicion that yoga is the only physical discipline that I can hope to be even minimally competent at.

Tonight — more yoga, maybe not the Wii, though.  We shall see.  I will have to consider what the most FUN yoga practice would be, and act accordingly.

Am liking my New Year’s resolution, if you can’t tell.
