I have been so, so remiss in my blog duties lately. Haven’t been around spreading the love in other bloggers’ comments, have been skimming lots of other people’s posts, haven’t been writing anything I would consider remotely interesting. So when Rads awarded me the “Simply Brilliant” award the other day I thought she must have meant some other Yogamum, but I seem to be the only Yogamum around these parts!
I am honored, especially in light of my recent slacking off, and I hope to be more “brilliant” in the near future. But not right now, as I am tired.
After I received that accolade from Rads, I was looking through my blog drafts and found that I’d been named for another award, the Arte y Pico award, by Heather at Finding Atman a couple of months back. Okay, now I am really hanging my head in shame for not having acknowledged her thoughtfulness!
These are the rules for the Arte y Pico award:
- You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserving of this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contribute to the blogging community, no matter what language.
- Each award has to have the name of the author and a link to his/her blog to be visited by everyone.
- Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that presented her/him with the award.
- The award winner and one who has given the prize have to show the link “Arte y Pico” blog so everyone will know the origin of this award.
- Show these rules.
Now here’s where I show my true lameness! I just can’t whittle down my list of brilliant blogs to five; there are so many blogs out there that make me laugh, make me cry, or make me think every single day. So here’s my twist on handing out the award: consider yourself awarded if you:
1. Have ever had a reader say you’ve made them cry.
2. Have ever made YOURSELF cry while writing a post.
3. Have ever written something you were very, very scared to admit “out loud.”
4. Have ever wanted to “take back” a post but decided to leave it out there, and gotten positive feedback as a result.
5. Secretly think you are more brilliant than 90% of the other bloggers out there.
If you’re “awarded,” post a comment below. Tell us which number applies to you, and if you’re brave enough, supply a link to an exemplary post!

You are just fine Yogamum. I don’t comment much either, but read I do.
So can I award myself again?
