Once again, we had a fabulous time up at Steamboat Lake State Park.  This year, some friends joined us in the adjacent campsite and they made it extra fun (thanks, Ms. Mosie!).  FrogGirl, FreckleBoy and our friends’ daughter, who shall be known as DragonGirl, explored the woods, played on the beach, rode their bikes and roasted many marshmallows.  We adults drank wine, drove the pontoon boat (not in that order), and hung out around the fire.

Then it was back to “reality” — back-to-school preparations, back to work, back to chores and laundry.  In my mind, though, I am trying to preserve the spirit of camping and the relaxation it brought us.  I keep breathing deeply as I bustle through my day, and think about putting my feet up in the warm sun.
