I only have a few minutes to write but wanted to check in and let you know about my new blog venture:
http://coloradoashtanga.wordpress.com
Inspired by the workshop I took with Annie Pace this weekend (which I’ll write about later!), I decided to create a source for Colorado ashtangis and ashtangis visiting Colorado to find ashtanga classes, workshops, teachers, and other resources! I hope to get some content up later this week.
Here’s a quick and easy recipe — I made this for brunch yesterday:
Chai French Toast
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1.5 cups chai concentrate (I used Tazo’s Vanilla Chai)
6-8 slices french bread, challah or other substantial bread
Put the chai into a saucepan and boil over high heat until reduced to about 3/4 cup. Meanwhile, lightly beat the eggs and whisk the milk into the eggs. Let chai cool, then whisk into the egg mixture. Dip slices of bread into egg mixture, and then fry on a griddle or in a frying pan until golden. Serve with maple syrup — I topped mine with toasted coconut and slivered almonds as well! Yum!

That french toast just sounds fancy — it is SO easy anyone can make it!
Tova — I detest making pie crust. As much as I love cooking, pie crust is just one of those things that never works for me (that and rolled-out sugar cookies). You might check out vegweb.com — their recipes are usually pretty good.
